Eco-Research Srl developed in lab an HTC process (Hydro Thermal Carbonization), EU patent pending.
Maintaining the product at very high temperature and pressure, the process allows treatment and remediation of slurry and dust, containing dioxins and other toxic organic compounds.
In 2017 Eco-Research Srl signed with W.T.E. a contract for the design, engineering and supply of pre-industrial equipment, realized with moving skids, to test the HTC process at condition in a context similar to the industrial ones.
The prototype is realised basing on the W.T.E.'s conceptual design for full-scale test.
The plant consists of several packages which allow the slurry to be handled in safe way: slurries are heated, maintained at the appropriate conditions in a special reactor, cooled down and then discharged to filter. All the phases above follow a well-defined procedure which may be changed case by case according to the test results.
The plant is equipped with several security systems in order to avoid risks for the operators. Potential flows discharged from safety valves are conveyed towards an activated carbon filter to assure the maximum environmental safety.
Pressure, temperature, normal and emergence procedures are automatically managed, regulated and controlled by a W.T.E. proprietary control logics.
