W.T.E. was appointed to study the combustion process of an existing coal fired furnace, 50 MWth, in the aim to improve the efficiency. Due to the presence of unburnts in the ashes, the study included analysis and possible technical solutions allowing the maximum exploiting of energy content of the fuel.

The furnace was installed on the power plant providing energy to the industrial area of MASCIONI Spa, textile manufacturer, in Cuvio (VA)
