Evaluation of combustion process and control system of MSW incineration plant owned by ACEGAS-APS Spa in Trieste.

The scope of work was to identify potential causes of abnormal consumption of natural gas connected to CO over production in one of three furnaces.

W.T.E. studied the trend of the combustion and elaborated several energetic balances identifying the cause of consumption in an excessively low adiabatic degree of the combustion chamber which was not entirely suitable for waste with existing characteristics and for partial loads.

W.T.E. recommended some measures to solve the reported problem.
