Actelios Spa, company owned by Falck Renewables Spa, commissioned to W.T.E. Waste To Energy the design of a biomass cogeneration plant with 17 MWe-60 MWth capacity. Scope of the work was to obtain  permitting named AIA and VIA from public authorities in Torremaggiore (FG)

The high efficiency power plant would be fed by lignocellulosic biomass and would consist in a water steam Rankine cycle. The mixture of biomasses would be constitued by green cutting wood and miscellaneous of production wastes and by-products (trimming of vineyards and olive groves, pomace, grapes, straw) for a total amount of 190000 t/y.  The energy producted would be delivered to the national grid at high tension 150 kV.
