After an international public call for tender issued by Ventspils (LV) Authority, W.T.E. had assigned the job with the title:
"Development of a construction design (…) and technical specifications for the procurement of design, construction and supply of equipment within the boundaries of the project titled "Installation and Operation of a Refuse-Derived Fuel Regeneration Plant at 69 Talsu Street, Ventspils"".

The assigned job regarded a 10 MWth RDF furnace co-generative plant, providing thermal energy to local district heating and electric energy to the national grid. WTE delivered the Process Flow Diagram of the feeding system, of the furnace and the boiler, of the multi stage gas cleaning system and of the thermal cycle .
W.T.E. carried out a sensitivity analysis on the plant's Net Present Value pertaining to energy price fluctuations. Moreover, preliminary equipment dimensioning, layout and sectional drawings, specifications and data sheets for all plant components and bid documents has been delivered.
A preliminary budget price in both hypothesis, shopping around and EPC, has been evaluated.
Due to a request of budget adjustment, the whole study had also been delivered for 8.5 MWth furnace capacity.
