Silvateam Energia commissioned to W.T.E. to develop a preliminary design of a waste biomass cogeneration plant, which included fuel handling, combustion system, boiler, thermal cycle and auxiliaries. The plant should deliver electric energy to the grid and MP steam to industrial processes. The boiler should be fed by industrial residues such as bark and exhausted wood chips from tannin extraction.

Main future characteristics of the system: MCR 22 MWth, boiler efficiency over 90%, yearly service over 8200 h.

For the above mentioned plant sections W.T.E. has delivered the combustion diagram, the energetic and mass balances, the design and engineering, the drawings of all plant sections and the technical description.
