W.T.E. was encharged to study the replacement of the existing furnace system of the MSW incineration plant managed by SE.VER.A in Castelnuovo G.na.

The object of the prefeasibility study was to indicate:

- the project of converting the existing furnace by its modification  from "adiabatic" to "non adiabatic" ,with the minimum adaptation of the other sections of the plant;

-the project of a new furnace with higher thermal flux (9,3 MWth) and the evaluation of the impact on other sections after the subsequent increase in power.
