GEOFOR Spa, owner of the incineration plant in Pisa appointed W.T.E. to study the optimization of the combustion delivering a whole control system to reduce the emission of pollutants. The plant had 2 lines, 15 MWt each, fed by MSW/RDF.
The implemented logic enhances the level of quality and quantity of combustion by means of a better distribution as well as quantitative control of the primary air under grates and of the control of the movement of the grate section which was automatically regulated on the base of waste characteristics.
