After a preliminary study to evaluate the co-combustion of sludge sewage and RSU-RDF in the incineration plant, W.T.E. was appointed to analyse in details the energetic performance of the plant. The aim was to verify the compliance with law and rules in force, focusing on energy recovery. The client, A.S.A.core business focuses on management of urban water, sludge digester and final disposal of residues slurry. The basic engineering was developed in order to obtain the approval of the Public Authority.
By means of several mathematical simulations W.T.E. has evaluated, on yearly basis, the energy deliverable to the grid, proving that the efficiency was in compliance with Italian law prescriptions. All the fundamental parameters in combustion, gas cleaning system and energy recovery, were also evaluated verifying that all of them were within the allowed ranges.
